Midnight Happenings

Mom was up in the middle of the night last night! Her thumb was hurting her, I think. She has trouble picking me up when that thumb is hurting. Anyway, I woke up cause I heard somebody moving around and I knew she was going into the bathroom. And nobody pees alone in this house, not on my watch! But then I was surprised when she didn't go back to bed. She came into the living room and got out the computer. She scratched my head and said she couldn't sleep. So I cuddled up next to her to make her feel better. I think it worked. I rolled over and she petted my tummy for a long, long time. It felt so good! And apparently not being able to sleep is not contagious, because I fell asleep just like that! I woke up cause she kissed my tummy and said she was going back to bed. Maybe my going to sleep helped her to sleep. I think it did.

Merlin you are such a nice kitty. I wanna be like you and take good care of my new mom too. Thank you for visiting my bloggie!

The Meezers meowed...

it's our kitty magic that we can make the beans go to sleep.

Latte meowed...

That was nice of you to make her able to go to sleep. I agree, no one goes to the litterbox (human or feline) without me checking on them!!

Zeus meowed...

You're so right to keep an eye on the human pet when she uses the human litterbowl, Merlin. People have been known to fall in and are never heard from again. It's true! I swear!

Tell her you are just there for her overall safety and protection. She'll understand.

"nobody pees alone on my watch"

Oh Merlin, you made me laugh.
My three furballs at home: Spooker, Daphne, and Chloe would all agree that this is an ingrained mission = nobody pees alone.

I know I am just a human, but I share the innate cat-ness of the sanctity of naptime. Sometimes, I'd like to pee alone, however.
